A Voice in the Wind - Francine Rivers

Really?!  Seriously?!  After all the "suffering" I endured through all 500-plus pages...  and it ends like that!  Nothing happened in this story until about 75% into it -- I kid you not.  Everything was leading up, leading up, leading up to something.  And then...  then end.  Finis. The Audible narrator even had the nerve to say, "the end."  Grumble grumble....

Later in the day...

It is now a few hours after writing the quick review above, which was, in fact, just my very strong reaction to the end of this book.  I knew it was part of a trilogy, thus the terrible ending with so many loose ends. I have researched the other two in the series.  Maybe I could skip the second (the hideous sister character is just someone I cannot spend any more time around right now!) and read the final which seems to focus more on the Barbarian character.  I might eventually like to know how things turn out for him.  This is why it can be really aggravating when fellow book clubbers choose these "series" books.
